Research in Theatre: Hajusom Hamburg
Since January 2019 Janna R. Wieland has been researching ethnographically in rehearsals of the transnational performance group Hajousom in Hamburg. The current piece “AZIMUT dekolonial – ein Archiv performt” (AZIMUT dekolonial – an archive performs) is dedicated to the topic of colonialism in the world. The actresses dedicate themselves to the theme on the one hand through personal references, on the other hand through research that takes them to their countries of origin where they follow traces of colonialism. The Performers see themselves as an archive that they will present as an installation on Kampnagel at 27 March 2019.
