The Sound-Installation MIGRATING SOUNDS & THE POLITICS OF SONIC TRANSLATION was created for the „Unconference: Grooving in the Heart of Whiteness? On heterogenety in musicology research and teaching in Germany: Questions – Inventory – Objections (15. December 2017).

The Sound-Installation includes a phonetic-aesthetical analysis with auditory field material from our research project. With this collage of sound we explore, how difference and heterogenity is negotiated and staged through different, linguistic, medial and phonetic processes of translation within „kainkollektivs“ theatre production »Still Out There«.
